Description:
Individuals with disabilities or functional needs may have additional needs before, during, and after a disaster. This training has been designed to familiarize the public health workforce professional with the differential needs of this population and how to develop strategies for a more effective response during a disaster.
Learning Objectives:
- Define key terms associated with disabilities
- Define key terms associated with access and functional needs
- Describe what they need help with for personal preparedness
- List basic preparedness planning steps or extra steps they may have to take to be ready for anything.
