Description: 

This training, offered by the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, provides an overview of the basic steps that can be followed to investigate an outbreak, including verification of diagnosis, incubation period, generating a hypothesis, case definition, case finding, and orienting case-patient data by person, place, and time. This module is part of the I is for Investigation training series developed to introduce non-epidemiologists to the basic concepts of outbreak investigation.
