This interactive, web-based Terrorism, Preparedness and Public Health introductory course describes the threats of terrorism and the concept of global biological security. The course covers the interests, motivations, and targets of potential terrorists and potential weapons that could be used by terrorists. It also explains the threats of emerging infectious diseases as well as threats to food and water supplies. The basic problems and issues with antimicrobial resistance are also explored. Finally, the need for biological security in a world of poverty and infectious disease is discussed. This site provides you with access to specially designed online offerings whenever you need to learn. It keeps track of the courses in which you are registered and where you are in each course. As you read and complete activities, you will be immersed in the topics presented. You can even take a break and when you return, the course will let you know where you left off. Begin as soon as you register and log in, spending as much or as little time as you need for each lesson. You will also have access to the course for review and reference purposes for as long as it is available.
