Capability 4: Emergency Public Information and Warning

These trainings review tools and skills for notifying the public in an emergency. Topics include risk communication, preparing news releases, and social media. This training bundle is intended for public health preparedness staff and members of community organizations who need an awareness-level overview of providing information and warnings to the public during an emergency. The course “Crisis and Emergency Risk Communications during Mass Prophylaxis” will allow the learner to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios at an intermediate level. The final course is designed for community health workers or promotores.
